Ulrik Gaston Larsen has studied historical guitar and lute instruments at the Norwegian state Academy of Music, and is currently a lute student of Professor Rolf Lislevand at the Academy of Music in Trossingen, Germany. He specializes in French and Italian early baroque and tours extensively with various ensembles throughout Europe. He can, among other things be heard on recordings, along with the French ensemble La Chapelle Rhénane, which he toured with recently. Earlier years’ festival visitors and Bellman lovers already know Ulrik as a fine instrumentalist with low-key charm and the festival’s longest strings.
