A wet and windy experience

Those of you who visited us this year had a wet, windy and sometimes cold experience, as did the main stage, the musicians and the crew! The main stage roof had to be water drained numerous times before the concerts. As the rainy days went by the crew members and volunteers developed a neat way of getting rid of the water from the stage roof – by sucking the water out through a garden hose!

It took ages to get the wacuum needed for the water to run through the hose, but once we got it working it prooved to be the most sufficient way to drain the water and preserve the stage roof at the same time.

The unstable weather had it’s toll on the sunset concerts this year as well. Unfortunately only three sunset concerts could take place at Valfjäll. Martin launched the sunset concerts with a solo performance followed by Beethoven sextet and Genialteatern’s family show “Vinge, Klo & Mitte Lillnäbb” on the two other possible occasions.
