Nina Åkerblom steps in on short notice

Unfortunately, due to illness Signe Sannem Lund and Daria Serafin’s concert on the opening night and in the summer night’s concert on Tuesday 21. July has been cancelled.
We are working hard to find a substitute for Signe and Daria on the opening night. Further announcements will follow shortly.
On a brighter note Nina Åkerlom has thankfully agreed to perform in the summer night’s concert on Tuesday 21. July.
Nina Åkerblom was featured as the Festival Composer of Koster Chamber Music Festival in 2006. Her concerts where she performed her own songs were highly popular.
Nina was born and raised in the city of Jönköping, Sweden. She has been writing songs since the age of 5. But she is not only a singer/songwriter. In spring 2007 she graduated from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. She has also been studying at the College of Music in Gothenburg. Nina is an educated classical singer and performs renaissance and baroque music as well as early opera and contemporary music. She works frequently as a soloist and ensemble member, and is often recording and on tour with some of the best vocal ensembles in Sweden. She also sings jazz, musical and international and Swedish folk music. Besides all this she plays the piano and writes pieces for choir and chamber music.
